Trip Overview

Nepal offers some of the best whitewater rafting adventures in the world, with thousands of adventurers navigating the challenging rivers of the country every year. Located near Kathmandu, the Trisuli river stands out as one an immensely popular rafting destination.

The journey to the Trisuli rafting adventure begins with an early morning bus ride towards Charaudi, which serves as the starting point of the adventure. The drive takes approximately 3 to 4 hours from Kathmandu. Once there, the raft guide provides you with all the safety equipment, prepares the rafts and delivers a safety briefing. After the orientation, you will start a 3 hours adventure navigating the Trishuli river until the finishing point Kurintar. You will then be driven back to Kathmandu on the same day.

For around 8 months of the year, the river runners generally encounter short and mild rapids. As a relatively calm river, this rafting trip is ideal for first-timers. During the monsoon months though, the intensity of the extreme rapids and fast currents can be testing for even the most experienced river runners. Therefore the monsoon rapid attracts an entirely different group of elite adventurers. Rafting down this raging Himalayan river with an enchanting scenery makes this adventurous trip an experience of a lifetime.
