The day starts with a scenic morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. On arrival at Pokhara, we check into a very pleasant hotel in the lakeside district of the city. After lunch, we reassemble our bike and check out by taking a short ride along the shores of Pokhara’s lake, Phewa Tal
The circuit of Sarangkot can be strenuous and challenging. This ride is mainly on a switchback blacktop road. Its a viewpoint overlooking Pokhara and the lake from where you can see an impressive panorama of the Himalayas stretching from Dhaulagiri to Manaslu range. From there we begin a long journey downhill on bitumen road back to Pokhara and a nice cold beverage.
Quite interesting day, gained a little bit elevation ascending from 780m to 1270m. Just below the top of Kali hill, we proceed on fire trails to an awesome downhill through the village of Hot Chilli to the shores of Begnas Tal.
Long challenging day traverse of two small ridges via Sundari, descend to the Mhodi River at Bhorletar. Follow the jeep track after Bhorletar until the little village Kalasti.
We have a mix of uphill and downhill section for today. After the end of uphill, we stop for Lunch & we climb again and then enjoy some outstanding cross-country riding, through small villages and past mud-brick kilns on a maze of footpaths and dirt roads. Crossing a small pass - soft drink stop at the village at the summit - we then drop down to the Dorandi River. Finally, we reach Chhepetar.
Today after crossing a small pass we descend to the Dorandi River for lunch and then paved road as we end our way up to the hilltop town of Gorkha. Upon arriving, we tour the historic Palace of the Shah dynasty, located on top of a hill at 1135m.
This day is a better mix of off-roads as well as the jeep road. Firstly, we ride to the small village of Mailung, from where we begin a wild 700-meter descent - firstly along the ridge and then dropping directly into the Buri Gandaki Valley. There will be few technical jeep trails on the way to Sallentar. We follow the village trails above Ankhu Khola towards the village of Hansi Bazaar and then to Kali Sundhara Bazaar.
Probably, the toughest day of this trip. We begin our day with a lengthy and streneous uphill on rocky jeep roads to Katunje. We can view fantastic panoramic views of the Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh and the Langtang peaks on the route. Descend to the valley of Trishuli River & then ascend to the Samari Bhanjyang.
