A scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla with views of Everest, Ama Dablam and other towering peaks. The flight duration is approximately 30mins long. Touch down at the World's Most Dangerous Airport, as the adventure begins. From here, Phakding is only 2 hrs away.
A heavy ascent is present on this day. However, one will move by the side of the raging river, crossing a suspended bridge above the river. The heavy ascent then begins for about 2 hours to reach the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar.
Day for rest, exploration and acclimatization at Namche Bazaar. Filled with restaurants and bars, and view spots, Namche Bazaar has everything you may need.
The trek to Thyangboche starts with a climb from Namche Bazaar. Filled with views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and other mountains, the trek reaches Thyanboche in about 6 hours. An astonishing view of Ama Dablam,from Thyangboche.
From Thyangboche, Dingboche is approximately 6 hours away. The trek passes through rhododendron forest, moving through several settlements to reach Dingboche.
Day for rest and acclimatization at Dingboche. A heavy ascent is present the next day, hence make sure to grab ample rest.
The trek to Lobuche can be challenging as we gain more altitude. Approximately 5 hrs long, the trek gains around 600m in elevation this day. So, take it easy, and take your time.
The trek reaches Everest Base camp this day. The trek to Gorkshep is relatively easy than the last day. Gorakshep is reached in around 4 hours. Here, you can check into a hotel and leave you bags and hike to Everest Base camp for exploration. EBC is only 2 hours away.
Astonishing view of the sun rising over Mt. Everest is visible from Kalapathar. So, wake up early and hike to reach the viewpoint. After a spectacular view, descend towards Pheriche.
The trek to Thyangboche is relatively easy as the tracks descend mostly. The trek is approximately 5 hrs long this day.
The trek from Thyangboche is mostly downhill. The routes moves down through Namche Bazaar to reach Monjo.
From Monjo, the trek is mostly downhill towards Lukla. It'll be an easy and relaxing trek on the final day of the tour.
Early morning flight back to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu.
